Megan's first day

Can you believe it? Megan is in Kindergarten. She absolutely LOVED her first day. She got on the bus from her dad's house. She has a friend there, Erin, who is a 1st grader and was able to ride the bus with Megan that first day. She loves her teacher, Mrs. Egner, who is a very seasoned teacher. She and "the other Megan" were the first two to sit "criss-cross applesauce with their lips zipped", and the teacher recognized her for this accomplishment. She also loved gym ("the teacher is a boy") although she will have to "learn a lot in gym before we get to climb the rock wall." There is a rock wall in the gym, can you believe it?

She was very disappointed that she didn't get to go back Thursday (the Kindergartners have a 'staggered start'). In fact, she said that evening "I had a very hard day." because she doesn't like her 'old school' now. She got up Friday morning to her Tigger alarm clock and got herself completely dressed before bounding into my room, ready for the bus.
