Hazel the Hedgehog

Megan is definitely starting to listen to the story as well as looking at the pictures. I read her Hazel the Hedgehog, the story of a little hedgehog who wants to play with the other animals but is excluded because she is 'too spikey'. When we get to the second page, Megan says "play too!" and on the next page she says "cry". We talk about how Hazel is sad because the other animals don't want to play with her. She looks sympathetic, but of course that could be my imagination!
