Columbus Trip, take 3 (4?)

The gang headed up to Columbus again this summer for the State Fair. David was able to join us, because it was his weekend off. Friday night we played at the hotel pool, then let Cedric pick where we would eat dinner. It was his 15th birthday. He picked BW3, and there happened to be one very close. That was the good news. The bad news was that it was on OSU campus, and parking was very hard to find. And also that it was absolutely pouring.

David found a spot, then walked us one by one to the restaurant. We were all soaked, esp David, but he did not complain. He is a trooper.

Saturday we went to the state fair. Mamie, Megan and Cedric were able to cover most of the area, seeing shows, exhibits, animals, etc. David, Cam, Aidan and I stuck to the rides. We also took a mid-day break to eat at McD's and swim at the hotel. I got some deep-fried Oreos, so I was happy.

Sunday was COSI. We split up again, with Mamie supervising everyone but Cam. I was able to catch up with Kim, who met us there with Xian. Cam and Xian got along pretty well, especially when they were able to play with balls. :)

On the trip home, Cam was wiped out, sleeping most of the way. We weren't able to get the DVD player to work, but the kids travelled very well for the most part. (4 kids and 3 adults piled in the van)
