First (noon) was Eastgate Adventures. They have a car track, but the cars were too loud for Cam. So we stuck with the mini-golf, which is a beautiful course. I got to feed the ducks, which made me happy. They eat the feed right out of your hand.
Next we stopped at Goodwill to look for "mime" shirts for David (found none that appealed to him). Then Chuck E Cheese. But we needed to feed Cam, and David and I didn't want to eat there, and voila, David's favorite Chinese buffet was right next door! Cam was a good sport about eating there instead, and ate his fill.
Back to Chuck E Cheese. Mostly Cam just wanted to go on the indoor play maze, esp the slide. But we played a few games, won a few tickets, picked out a prize.
Next to Woodland Mound. Cam played on the water playground, but not for very long. He was more interested in the dry playground.... hot, hot hot. The ground-up tires did not help the temperature.
Then we went to a nearby McDonald's, which David remembered as having a "huge indoor playground". Not too amazing after all, but Cam played there a bit. While we were there, a huge storm passed through. It was kinda cool to watch it from the play area, which was all windows.
We headed home, but stopped at Walmart on the way. David found exactly the right number of mime shirts there! Good end to a busy day.
