Necxt?

Megan was writing a sentence, and she spelled "next" n-e-c-x-t. I can hear the hard c sound in there too. But she sat and looked at it for a bit, then crossed it out and wrote "next". When I asked her why she had decided there was no "c", she told me "it just didn't look right."

Now if that's not the sign of a true reader, I don't know what is! :-)
