Today (March 14) we are at home with plenty of food. I am hoping the power stays on, and the wifi stays on (and water!). David will continue to work. I will work from home some days, and go in others. MedPace is on a staggered "week in, week remote" schedule. We are so lucky that the kids are now old enough to stay on their own. If this had happened just a year ago, Cam would have been nervous on his own, and they would have been stuck here. Now Megan can drive! So if they want to go to the store, or a restaurant, and I'm not here, they can.
The library closed yesterday. But most businesses are staying open at this point. Grocery stores, restaurants, both open. All sports have been canceled (NBA, MLS, NHL, and the NCAA March Madness tournament). This year, University of Dayton was ranked #3 in the country!
I was at the library on the last day they were open (March 13) at 5p - they were closing at 6p. I got a bunch of books. I was worried the power and/or wifi would go out.

Great Wolf Lodge is closing all resorts beginning Sunday at 2 p.m. and plan to reopen on April 2.
Jack casino, Miami Valley Gaming and Belterra Park Gaming have all closed until further notice.
Newport Aquarium will close to the public beginning Monday and plans to reopen March 28.
Sports
Major League Soccer announced it would halt its season for 30 days, including FC Cincinnati's home opener Saturday night. It's expected matches will be rescheduled.
Major League Baseball suspended operations, spring training games and the start of the regular season by at least two weeks. This means the earliest date for Reds Opening Day is April 9.
The NCAA announced it will cancel its men’s and women’s basketball tournaments as well as the Division I hockey tournament.
The ACC, SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, American, MAC, Atlantic-10, Colonial, Conference USA and WAC conference tournaments are all canceled.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association has canceled all post-season state tournaments.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has decided to postpone indefinitely the remainder of the Girls Sweet 16 basketball tournament and next week’s Boys Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena.
ECHL The Cyclones' league announced Thursday night that it would suspend play.
The Heart Mini Health and Fitness Expo on March 21 has been canceled.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame "fan fest in Canton scheduled for March 21 to 22 has been postponed.
Winter Guard International has canceled the WGI Guard World Championships in Dayton on April 1-4. The WGI Pecussion World Championships in Dayton on April 15-18 and the WGI Winds World Championship on April 19-19 have also been canceled.
The Cincinnati Rollergirls home opener at the Cintas Center has been canceled.
The Jeff Ruby Stakes at Turfway Park on March 14 is on, but no spectators are allowed.
Religious gatherings
Crossroads Church will be moving all weekend services online. All Crossroads buildings will be closed to the public until further notice. Regular services will be available online at crossroads.net.
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has dispensed Catholics who reside in Ohio and all other Catholics currently in Ohio from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass for the rest of the month. A release from the Archdiocese states those who choose to attend masses are allowed to do so with restrictions. Those who choose to stay home can live stream Mass from the Cathedral of Saint Peter in chains online at catholiccincinnati.org.
The Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, located in West Chester, has canceled both Jummah prayers for Friday, March 13. All other events – including Sunday School – have been canceled through March 24, according to a release. Shaikh Hossam will be live-streaming a Khutba.
Other closures, impacts of coronavirus
The YMCA Blue Ash, Campbell County, Carl H. Lindner, Clermont, Gamble-Nippert, Powel Crosley, Jr., Highland M.E. Lyons and Richard E. Lindner locations will temporarily suspend all fitness and aquatics programming from March 16-April 3.
The City of Covington City Hall lobby is closed.
The Greater Cincinnati Water Works lobby is closed. You can pay your water bill online at www.Portal.myGCWW.org.
The Cincinnati Recreation Commission will close all Recreation Centers effective Tuesday. Polling locations will remain open for the day, but all programming has been canceled. The commission anticipates the centers will reopen April 6.
Cincinnati Parks will stay open and all general rules (social distancing, stay home if sick, etc.) apply. Gatherings and events at the parks – Pancakes in the Woods, Krohn Conservatory, Explore Nature! programs, Carol Ann's Carousel and volunteer events – have been canceled.
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County will close all 41 locations until further notice, beginning Friday at 6 p.m., according to officials. All events and classes are canceled through April 3.
Libraries in Northern Kentucky announced Friday afternoon they would close at the end of the day Friday for several weeks.
Boone County Public Library: Closes end of day Friday until at least April 11. The library will reassess the closure weekly, according to its website.
Campbell County Public Library: Closes at 7 p.m. Friday until at least March 29, according to its website.
Kenton County Public Library: Closes end of day Friday until at least March 22, according to a press release. Updates will be posted on its website.
The three branches of the Lane Public Library in Butler County are closed until April 6, as are the Mason and Lebanon libraries in Warren County. The Franklin-Springboro library is closed until April 17.
The MidPointe Library locations in Middletown, Monroe, Trenton as well as Butler County's Liberty and West Chester townships are remaining open, although programs and room reservations are canceled through April 3.
Great Parks is canceling indoor and outdoor programs and events thought at least April 5.
Ohio will move 128 primary election polling places out of nursing homes and other senior living facilities, including 24 in Hamilton County.
2020 Neighborhood Summit at the Cintas Center on March 14 has been postponed.
The Ohio Democratic Party's annual Legacy Dinner in Columbus on March 15 has been postponed.
The NKY International Festival at Northern Kentucky Convention Center March 14 has been postponed.
The Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America Good Scout Award Luncheon that was scheduled for March 18 has officially been postponed until May 19.
Courts and Jails
The Butler County Sheriff's Office is canceling all jail inmate visitations until further notice. Inmates will be given additional free calls until visitation is reinstated.
Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil announced Wednesday that inmate visitation is canceled starting March 12 until further notice. He is taking precautionary measures to prevent the virus from spreading within the inmate population.
Kentucky courts have canceled all in-person appearances for civil and criminal dockets, with the exception of emergency matters, domestic violence hearings and evidentiary hearings in criminal cases.
Hamilton County is urging people to go to the county courthouse only if legally required.
