BonnyBrook Farms

Cameron slept until 11a, and we decided to head to a farm up past Lebanon. Bonnybrook Farms

It was an absolutely perfect day weather-wise, and Cam was a good sport about the lengthy drive. We played in the dirt-pile, supplied with plenty of trucks. We took (only one) trip down a slick tunnel slide built into the side of a hill. We explored the 4-house "town", then headed into the barn/shop for some lunch.

After lunch we found the animals. Donkeys, sheep, goats, and plenty of horses. We said hello to each one. Cam wanted me to tell him each horse's name. (there were probably 10-12 horses) He was excited about taking a pony ride. I walked next to him as the large pony walked around the inside of a beautiful facility, filled with mulch. At the end, I let him go again as no one was waiting, and that was exactly the right amount of "horse time" for him.

We threw stones in the large pond for quite a while. This was always a favorite pastime of Megan's too. He kept telling me "Mommy, we need flat ones." I think he and David had tried to skip rocks across a pond recently.

We took a short hay ride to the pumpkin patch. We decided to pay for the "scenic" hay ride, and we got to see the entire farm. It was about 30 minutes, and Cam was good about sitting still, though by the end he was a little tired of the "scary stuff."

We headed home after that, and Cam slept all the way.
